Some couples wander into the hills with a picnic hamper and local photographer, while others prefer a relaxed pub lunch in Beddgelert, a quiet afternoon tea in the privacy of the Bryn Eglwys lounge or a sharing board on the outdoor terrace. However you choose to spend your day, it's an opportunity to celebrate in a way that feels entirely personal and true to you both.
Intimate Weddings
An intimate wedding brings together the people who matter most for a celebration that feels relaxed, meaningful and personal. With space for up to 18 guests, it offers all the joy and atmosphere of a traditional wedding while allowing more time to connect with your closest loved ones.
Making the most of Tŷ Afon's characterful rooms, terrace and mountain setting, intimate weddings feel naturally suited to the scale of the house. Picture yourself after the ceremony with simple, elegant private dining, maybe with an acoustic guitarist or harpist. They're ideal for couples who want a beautiful wedding without the need for a marquee, large guest list or extensive logistics.
Exclusive Hire Weddings
Exclusive hire allows you to make the house and grounds entirely your own but with everything taken care of, so you can simply be present for every moment of it. It offers the perfect balance between a sense of occasion and the relaxed atmosphere of a private gathering, bringing together family and friends in one of the most beautiful settings in Eryri.
Suited to celebrations of up to 80 guests seated for dinner and 120 in the evening, and with ten boutique bedrooms and accommodation nearby, your closest guests can stay as part of the experience. Waking up together, celebrating longer, making it a true occasion rather than just a day.
Marquee Weddings
For larger celebrations, Tŷ Afon offers the opportunity to extend your wedding into the grounds with a marquee overlooking the mountains. Combined with ten boutique bedrooms on site and the village of Beddgelert on your doorstep, it creates a setting where guests can gather, celebrate and stay close throughout the weekend.
Whether you're planning a relaxed summer feast, an evening of dancing or a full weekend of celebrations, marquee weddings allow you to welcome up to 130 guests while retaining the character and atmosphere that make Tŷ Afon so special.
