When you book a wedding at Tŷ Afon, you’re not just getting panoramic mountain views in the heart of Snowdonia. You’re also getting people who’ll walk beside you from your first conversation to the moment the music fades. Whether that’s Tŷ Afon’s owner Emma, who started her design career with Phillippa Lepley or Helen, our wedding planner partner,  whose services are included in every exclusive venue hire and available to book for intimate elopements.

Both Emma and Helen are vibrant, dedicated, and quietly brilliant. They bring a thoughtful and experienced down-to-earth approach to every couple we work with, blending professionalism with warmth to help you feel supported every step of the way. Whether it’s handling the logistics, keeping you on track, or simply giving you the confidence to enjoy the process, they both ensures everything runs seamlessly - and in a way that feels completely personal to you.

Helen is also the founder of Perfectly Planned by Helen, and was recently named Wedding Planner of the Year for North Wales (not hat she’ll shout about it, so we will!).

From the moment we started working together, it just made sense. Helen immediately understood what we were building at Tŷ Afon: weddings that are relaxed but intentional, beautiful but grounded, and completely unique to each couple. She helps bring those ideas to life - turning loose plans into seamless timelines, quiet visions into well-connected realities. We can’t imagine doing what we do without her.

Helen is included in every exclusive venue hire here and is available to book for intimate elopement weddings - part of the way we support you throughout the whole process. From your first enquiry, she’s there to listen, guide, and help bring your vision to life (even if you’re not quite sure what that looks like yet). With her support, things that often feel overwhelming - managing timings, finding the right suppliers, making decisions - become clear, simple and quietly handled in the background.

She’s someone who knows the rhythm of a wedding day instinctively. She knows how long things really take, when to give you space, and when to gently steer things back on track. She’ll ask the questions you hadn’t thought of, suggest details that make the day flow better, and hold it all together while you stay present and in the moment.

Without someone like Helen, it’s easy for small things to slip. Timings drift, guests get confused, and someone - often the couple or a close friend - ends up feeling responsible. With her around, those stresses melt away. You get to enjoy the lead-up and the day itself, knowing she’s quietly keeping things running behind the scenes.

We’re not here to run your wedding like an event. We’re here to make sure it reflects you.

That means:

  • A planning process that’s structured but calm

  • A timeline that fits the feel of your wedding

  • Suppliers who suit your style and values

  • A celebration that feels grounded and true to you

  • And a team behind you every step of the way

It’s not about just coordinating suppliers, it’s about the help needed to shape the experience. And because Helen and Emma know the venue inside out, they can suggest ways to make the most of it; from ceremony flow to logistics to the perfect time for stepping outside for a photo when the light’s just right.

Lots of venues offer a contact person. Some might send you a checklist or recommend a florist. But very few include planners and coordinators like Helen; with years of experience, deep local knowledge, and the kind of calm presence that changes everything. Whilst Emma, with a career in interior design knows how to dress a space as it evolves throughout the day - perfectly placing and re-placing event decor and details.

Having Helen here isn’t just a perk. It’s a big part of what makes weddings at Tŷ Afon feel so personal, seamless and supported. Her guidance helps you make decisions with confidence - and frees you up to enjoy it all along the way.

We know choosing a wedding venue is about more than just a beautiful setting (though we think ours is pretty special). It’s about how you feel: supported, seen, and a little bit excited every time you picture the day.

With Helen and Emma here to guide the way, you’ll have the freedom to enjoy the process - safe in the knowledge that someone calm, kind, and experienced is quietly making sure everything’s just right.

If you’re looking for a supported, intentional way to plan your wedding in Wales; with an experienced planner and a mountain setting to match, we’d love to show you around.
